And since it's Thanksgiving and not everything is about clothes and shoes I thought I would share some things that I'm thankful for this year. (Beware it's mushy)
1) I am thankful for my health and my friends and family's health. It's so easy to forget that sickness occurs when it's not directly effecting you. My grandma is now cancer free and ever since she was diagnosed, it's made me feel thankful for health and the gift of waking up and breathing every single day. Even on my worst days I try to just be thankful that I'm even healthy because some people aren't so lucky. It's made me appreciate my mom, dad, brother, grandparents, and extended family all the more since then.
2) I am thankful for the college friends I have met the past 2 years. I never knew how special my college friends would be when I came to UNT and I can truly say I've found my people. I love my best friend and all the amazing people I've met through my sorority or dorm last year.
3) I am soooo extremely thankful for my sweet boyfriend, Tyler. I won't be too mushy, but let's just say he's my absolute best friend on this entire planet. I love the fun and silly life we live and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think it's really special when you can find someone that you laugh with every single day no matter what. And I can't forget his sweet family that loves me like their own. There's not enough words to explain how much I love these people.
4. I love that I'm fortunate enough to get a great education and pursue my dreams and career. Education is such a privilege and I try to not forget that a lot of countries aren't so lucky and even people in this country can't go on to get a higher education and it's not for everyone. But I do feel thankful I get to attend the University of my choice and I get to challenge and push myself every day.
